It is so much easier to get ideas down fast, without having to push record or set a tempo. Capture does just that. It allows you to play without recording and automatically remember all the notes you play. In this video, I am going to show you the ins and outs of capturing MIDI. This way you can use it like a pro and get more musical ideas down faster.

Learn how to search samples fast without having to open folders after the search in the Ableton browser. Depending on where you got the sample from, even after the search, you still must open folders to get to it. This can be time consuming. I found one way to get to samples faster is to add them to an Ableton collection.
Working with samples in Ableton that sometimes need tuning? Instead of dragging a tuner into each track when needed, I put a tuner on a return track named “Tuner”. Then when I need to tune a sample I just send the track to the return and tune away.
